Downs... and ups.

It struck me yesterday that it is already July.
June has been both a good and bad month, but more bad than good, from what I recall.
The good being stepping into AhWU's house and shaking his hand, as well as meeting great people like Michelle Joey Wei Xin Ser Hui Chris Nelson Shi Ling Jiayi, those I haven't seen in a long time. Genting trip was also nice with nice company.
The bad, comprises everything else. Stress, stress and stress. And, being rejected by CUHK. I wonder if I will have the courage to apply again.
 
The start of July was slightly better than normal. A movie with Angie, ZR and Zhi, and then spending hours in MacDonald's guessing 成语 and sharing one meal.
 
Then, the stupid encounter at Woodlands.
 
I had been ignoring judging eyes and some hostile comments whenever YX and I did our photo-taking of stalls in food centres for our research. Today's encounter was really preposterous. Being unfamiliar with Woodlands, we asked the bus driver of 950 how to get to the nearest food centre before we tapped our ezlink cards. And so we alighted three stops later as instructed by the driver. Who knew we ended up at the checkpoint and had to verify our identities at the security pass office. The personnel in the office were considerably friendly but not the one who came later to 'escort' us to the customs. She asked me why we ended up there and while I was trying to explain, she very fiercely said, "You think this is funny?" HELLO I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS AND I APPRECIATE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I WAS FEELING LOST TOO. Next she asked us, oh nope she didn't ask, she ORDERED us to walk through the gantry at the customs to have our thumbprints verified. HELLO ARE WE CRIMINALS? Even criminals should not be treated that way? Then she gestured to the next officer, who rolled her eyes and said, "Singaporeans some more! HELLO SINGAPOREANS CANNOT GET LOST AH? I can forgive their low efficiency in trying to verify our identities but excuse me, was there a need for those hostility and sarcastic remarks? Did I want to get lost? Seriously.
YX PLEASE RMB TO DRAFT YOUR COMPLAINT LETTER.
 
On a side note, I am thinking whether to stop dieting because everyone says I don't look different anyway.

I'll never understand.

Some people, you try to break them before you build them. Some people, you are only remembered by them when they need your help. Some people, you spend time trying to change them only to realise you were never someone who could impact their lives. Some people, they hurt you so much but you know, they are just not worth it. So, don't bother. ASPIRE 2010 was a screwed yet another learning experience for me this time. I'd really like to thank my fellow peers for going through shit with me. And thank goodness that I believe in miracles. You never know what happens until the last minute, really. I never felt so shagged, and devastated about people.

All the small things.

So blonde Neo came with a packet of sushi and my chrysanthemum tea and Mr. Bean's pancakes. We continued to gorge ourselves with cones (actually just 2) of Cornetto which I bought to reward myself after a long time of not having eaten ice cream. We studied and also watched The Family Court. I really feel sad for AhWU that everyones hates his Leshan role but I guess he's right that actors and actresses like to see audiences' reactions towards their acting. What a breakthrough for him! Had supper with Shirl and Eh Chris! at somewhere nearby. Continued to study with Angie and we (or rather I) had a bad night because she was coughing quite badly. Blonde Neo I tell you, you better start drinking bottles of water when you get home today. NO MORE CHIPS!!! I'm watching you.... So anyway, in the morning we had Mac breakfast and Angie FINALLY invited me to her house wheeeeeeeee. Happening hor?
