A girl was soooo rude to me today.
Firstly, she didn't want to do her work and then
ME: Can you stop talking and start doing your test now?
SHE: I don't have the worksheets.
Secondly, she stepped on her dictionary.
ME: Don't step on your dictionary.
SHE: This isn't dictionary, it's Thesaurus.
ME: Still, you shouldn't step on it right?
SHE: It's an accident.
ME: It's not.
SHE: If you don't believe me, FINE.
ME: You're being very rude.
SHE: I told you it's an accident. If you want to think that way, it's FINE with me.
Next, she kept making noise with the Snappel cap she got from who-knows-where.
ME: Can you stop making that sound and distracting the class?
SHE: What sound?
ME: You know it yourself.
SHE: No I do not.
ME: Alright I shall confiscate it then.
SHE: *stares*
ME: Alright class, please submit your test paper now. You can go after you have submitted.
SHE: Na. *passes me the test paper*
ME: You're not going off until I get an apology for your rudeness.
SHE: *walks off to pack her bag*
ME: You're not leaving the classroom...
SHE: *runs out of the classroom with her bag*
Next, came her classmate who... Oh well.
HE: Teacher, are you sure she should apologise for rudeness? Rudeness isn't a criminal offence.
ME: Well then I will call it a school offence.
HE: No it isn't?
ME: What are your school mottos?
HE: 礼义廉耻忠孝仁爱 (which means courtesy righteousness integrity sense of shame loyalty filial piety humanity love)
ME: So which is courtesy?
HE: 礼?
ME: What does that stand for?
HE: 礼貌?
ME: Then?
HE: But still, being rude is not considered breaking a school rule.
ME: Can you imagine if everyone in the school is rude to the teachers?
HE: Do you think punctuality is important?
ME: Duh.
HE: Then why do teachers always dismiss students late for recess?
ME: Why do you think the teachers have to dismiss the students late for recess?
HE: They cannot finish teaching.
ME: Why do you think they cannot finish teaching?
HE: Well they usually blame it on the students.
ME: Then?
HE: But it's usually one person's fault and the teachers blame it on the class.
ME: So what are you trying to tell me?
HE: Allow me to explain please.
ME: Okay enough, hand in your test paper and go. *rolls eyes*
Kids nowadays. Ha. That was what I got from the P6 best class. :) (sarcastic smile if you can feel it.)
I promise you would feel like slapping that rude girl and nothing else. But I know I shouldn't. Even if I should, I wouldn't. :)
I'm not exactly angry. I just feel very, very sad for the children and for the parents nowadays. Spare the rod and you spoil the child. This could be a generalisation but well, I do agree to a very large extent.
